Shabbat shalom everyone! Sorry for the lack of communications lately. Last Thursday night and Friday morning, my area and many other areas were hit in dramatic fashion by the remnants of Hurricane Helene. As such, we have been without power for 9 days now and we are still without power. So without power we have no internet and no computer for videos and such. It has actually just been within the past day or two that cell service has returned enough to be able to get online. In fact, I am having to write this blog post on my phone. We do not know when we will be getting power or internet back, but we also know that, given the MASSIVE amount of devastation, power crews are working extremely hard to try and get power restored.
On another front though, my family and I have been very blessed throughout all this. Our home and our property were not damaged and everyone is safe, healthy, and well fed. We definitely praise Yahweh for his blessings and protection that have been bestowed upon us. Given that we have a well for water, without power we cannot produce our own water so we’re having to transport both clean water and flush water. But again, we have been extremely blessed with multiple churches, fire departments, and just local neighbors willing to lend a hand in giving out water.
So without knowing when we will get power back, we do not have a time frame as to when we will be able to go back to streaming, but we will keep you updated. Since we were blessed to not have sustained any damage to our home or property, as soon as the power and cable internet get restored, we should be able to get right back online and to you guys.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. We really appreciate it. We are doing great, but there were so, so many that were impacted in very devasting ways. So please pray for all those negatively impacted, pray for the linemen working to restore power, pray for the medical staff, fire departments, law enforcement, national guardsman, and everyone else that is helping in this recovery and who are out there serving others even when they don’t have to.
If you want to stay more up to date, the local radio stations around here have banded together and you can listen to the 24/7 efforts through 99.9 Kiss Country, 570 WWNC, etc on the iHeart radio app.
Thanks again everyone and stayed tuned. Shabbat Shalom!
